A Boiling Pot explores immeasurable time scenarios using electro-forming technology, an electrolytic process during which a metallic coating is formed on an object. This process ensures control over various properties of a selected material, however, it does not allow control over the development of the object and its transformation over time. A Boiling Pot presents three “aquariums” for three scenarios: an archetypal object gradually losing its identity; two objects “consumed” on one end and crystallized on the other end, and vice versa; and an object created as a result of being observed, mapping the gaze of passer-bys – “A watched pot never boils.”
