A Year on a Rug utilizes the role of the rug as an abstract or figurative legend of cultural history, in order to document one significant year in the personal history of designer Adi Yair. Obsessive documentation of her daily parameters became a meticulous routine of weaving on various objects scattered around her home, transforming the act of weaving a rug into an active participant and a recorder of time, providing an infographic picture of life. The rug embodies twelve months between 2021-2022, deep within the Covid-19 crisis.
