Spirit of Things (Slowed+Reverb)

In Spirit of Things (Slowed+Reverb), observers and listeners are invited to lose their focus and succumb to a digital blurring, ranging between 1990s’ new-age tapes and contemporary YouTube remixes. Images inspired by chemical waste were morphed using artificial intelligence, and matched with a slowed-down version of a non-existent song. Exploring elements of blurring by stretching both musical and visual fragments, Tayar increases the volume of digital artifacts in order to conceal his fingerprint, thereby making certain that nothing physical is fully manifested.
